  • Osteology-is the study of skeleton. The of a vertebrate is divided into two groups-
  1. Endoskeleton in vertebrates includes elements made of living skeletal connective tissue called cartilages and bone.
  2. Exoskeleton-is non-living and derived either from epidemies or dermis of skin.
  • Total number of bones in human endoskeleton are 206,While newly born Baby have 300 bone.  
  • Femur is longest bone While stapes is smallest bone.
  • Arthrology is the study of joints.
  • Fibula is the thinnest bone.
  • Tibia is called shinbone. it is the second longest bone.
  • Sternum is absent in fishers.
  • Tibia-Fibula is the longest bone of frog.
  • Funny bone is a bone found in bend of the elbow.
